Can I ship personal items in my vehicle?

The Department of Transportation does not allow any items to be shipped in a vehicle on an auto carrier. Drivers can be subject to random searches, and extra items can also put the carrier over their weight restrictions, resulting in expensive fines for the driver. Prestige Auto Carriers is not responsible for any items left in the vehicle.


What if the truck cannot get to my location?

Most carriers are very long and very wide, which makes it very difficult to enter some residential neighborhoods. Some city laws will not allow these trucks in certain areas. If the truck is unable to make it to your front doorstep, they will get as close as possible to the scheduled pickup location, and then meet you in a location with an adequate amount of space, such as a local shopping plaza or large parking lot.


Can I ship my car if it is inoperable?

At this time, we are unable to transport inoperable vehicles unless they are picking up and dropping off where there is a forklift to load and unload. 


How long does it take to transport my vehicle?

That depends on how many miles the vehicle is traveling. A driver is only allowed to drive a certain amount of miles or hours each day. They also have other cars to unload and load which will add additional time.  Once you schedule your transport we will be able to give you specific dates. Most transports take between 3-6 days.


How do you figure out the price to transport my car?

The price is determined by mileage, vehicle size, delivery and pick up locations, as well as any specific needs that you may have. We will provide you the best service at the best price possible.


How does payment work?

A minimal deposit is due upon placement of the order; deposits can be made with a credit or debit card or bank transfer.  The balance is due upon delivery of the vehicle either by cash, money order or a certified check.


How far in advance do I need to place my order?

The more advance notice we receive the better, so we can best meet your specific needs. If you are in an urgent situation, please call us as soon as possible, and your agent will discuss your options with you.


Is my shipment insured during transit?

Absolutely!! You’ll have peace-of-mind when you ship with Prestige Auto Logistics, Corp. Your vehicle(s) will be insured against any in-transit-damage caused by carrier negligence or equipment failure. All damage must be noted on the bill of lading at the time of delivery and reported immediately.
